Arguably the greatest hockey player EVER graces this riveting 1966-67 Topps Bobby Orr rookie card, without a doubt or an argument, the most important and coveted hockey RC of the past 50 years. Rarely does something, or someone, extra special come along but that was the case in the 1960s when 12-year old Bobby was spotted playing hockey for his hometown Parry Sound, Ontario team. A few years later, after a stellar junior career with the Oshawa Generals, the boy wonder arrived on the NHL scene and proceeded to live up to all the advance star billing. This example of card #35 from Topps' famous "television" set falls into the aforementioned "extra special" realm. We're sure that the thought of owning one of the highest graded Bobby Orr rookie cards is one that appeals to all serious collectors of primo material. SGC has awarded a mark of NM-MT 8 to this beauty. Just five of 78 other Orr RCs have ever scored higher at SGC, while the PSA Population Report reveals just one 9 and one 8.5 edge a group of (41) 8s. This rookie card of the young man who set numerous unheard of hockey precedents - imagine, a defenceman winning the scoring championship(!) - is a prize that will enhance an important card collection to great heights. Good luck with this outstanding opportunity.
