Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2013

We've always marveled at the thought of these gorgeous color shots of Montreal Canadien and Toronto Maple Leaf players once actually having been part of the front(!) of cereal boxes and now get to marvel at them housed in big impressive PSA holders. The only group ever sent to PSA in the company's history, this sensational stash earns the title of "The Number One Finest Set of All Time" and admirably features 16 cards which received a mark above "Authentic" thanks to still having dotted lines around they're white borders. Leading the way at EX 5 are Habs Ferguson, Reaume and Rousseau, as well as Keon of Toronto, with Pulford at VG-EX+ 4.5 and seven at VG-EX 4; Armstrong, Baun, Horton, Kelly, Simmons, Stewart and Worsley. Slabbed VG 3 are Mahovlich and Nevin, while in GOOD 2 holders are Provost and Richard. They're all Pop-1 examples with none higher on the PSA Population Report, with just six cards other than the 38 here on the telltale pop chart. The remainder, featuring Hall-of-Famers Bower, Duff, Imlach, Stanley, Beliveau, Blake, Geoffrion and Laperriere, are labeled Authentic, although they show up as 1s on the PSA Set Registry. They're all "none higher" affairs except for Laperriere. An elusive Charlie Hodge card is the one required for the set to be 100% complete. With a weighted GPA of 2.421 and a set rating of 2.365, this delicious Chex jackpot is the likes of which may only ever be offered once to those hungry for hobby rarities.
