Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2013
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/5/2013
At the front of the Johnny Sheppard line on the PSA Population Report is this desirable example of his Canadian Gum rookie card, released during what turned out to be his last of eight NHL seasons. The left winger played just four games with the Bruins in ’33-34 before getting his release and signing with the Black Hawks, a team Johnny won the Stanley Cup with at season’s end! Extremely low pop numbers to tell you about here, with only this Pop-2 EX 5 rookie and its counterpart ahead of the (only) ten other similar Sheppard cards that have been encapsulated by PSA in the past.
