Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2013
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/5/2013
Considered one of the best goalies not in the Hockey Hall of Fame, Lorne Chabot had backstopped the Rangers (1927-28) and Maple Leafs (’31-32) to Stanley Cup triumphs when he first appeared on hockey cards during the ’33-34 campaign, his one and only with the Montreal Canadiens. This example of his Canadian Gum rookie is slabbed Good 2 by PSA, with the company’s Population Report revealing that it’s a Pop-2 with seven ahead of it in the Chabot “line”.
