Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2013
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/5/2013
The top 1923-24 senior hockey team in the Dominion, Canada that is, is pictured here and features New York Ranger legend and Hockey Hall-of-Famer Fred “Bun” Cook, standing in the middle of the back row. One of 32 hockey cards in the Dominion Chocolate Company’s 120-card multi-sport set, considered a 1924-25 issue by some but labeled “1925” at PSA, this example is a gorgeous Pop-2 NM 7 with none ever having been graded higher by PSA experts. Complete with the “coupon” at the bottom, which was designed to be sent back to the company with others in exchange for a prize, this is one of 15 Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds cards to be slabbed by PSA since its inception.
