Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2013
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/5/2013
An Olympic champion in 1924 when he captained Canada’s representative (the Toronto Granites) and then a Stanley Cup champion in 1925-26 with the Montreal Maroons was Dunc Munro, with this card of the defenceman issued in between the two triumphs and a champion itself! This is the highest graded card #57 from the big 120-card multi-sport set put out by the Dominion Chocolate Company in the history of PSA. The Pop-1 NM 7 shocker edges and outdistances the dozen others on the PSA Population Report, including four EX-MT 6 copies. Munro spent seven seasons with the Maroons and then finished his NHL career with the Canadiens in '31-32.
