Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2013
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/5/2013
One of two goaltenders who had a relatively easy time backstopping Canada to the gold medal at the 1924 Olympic Games in Chamonix, France, (the Toronto Granites outscored the opposition a combined 110-3!), E.J. Collett played in two of five games and actually was Canada's first ever flag bearer at opening ceremonies of the Winter Olympics. This example of card #55 in Dominion Chocolate’s 120-card multi-sport set is a Pop-1 EX+ 5.5 and edged on the PSA Population Report by just two others, including a NM 7 with qualifier. To date, PSA has encapsulated 14 Collett cards.
