Very cool 19th century hockey artifact is a circa 1880s-1890s wood stick used to play ice polo, an American precursor of ice hockey. This 40-inch long curved wood stick retains the its "Wright & Ditson Special" stamp on one side of the curved blade, which has various chips and cracks along its edges, particularly on the heel and up to the very bottom of the shaft of this solid one-piece wonder. Sure to be of interest to a variety of hockey enthusiasts, this wonderful antique piece dates from the origins of the game.
