Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2013

The unparalleled career of Bobby Orr began officially on the evening of October 19, 1966, as the Boston Bruins opened the 1966-67 season at home vs. Gordie Howe and the Detroit Red Wings. Legend has it that Howe's famous elbow introduced young Bobby to the big leagues during the game, but that didn't stop Orr from picking up his first NHL point, an assist, in a 6-2 Bruins win. The offered program from that historic evening is in wonderful EX/NM condition - clean, bright and glossy - and contains a full article on the prized rookie. Also included is a rare ticket stub, also in nice-as-one-could-ask for EX/NM shape, with a tiny staple hole. For the man who went on to quickly establish himself as the greatest defenseman the game had ever known, this was the night it all began.
