Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2013
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/5/2013
Fantastic pair of Wayne Gretzky N.Y. Rangers pieces features the Great One's training camp game-worn jersey as well as Wayne's "99" mock neck blue undershirt. Both pieces were originally obtained from Mike Folga, the Rangers' head equipment manager during Gretzky's entire tenure with the Blue Shirts from 1996-99. HOF defenceman Brian Leetch is among the 14 Rangers whose blue marker signatures surround the heat-pressed 99 on the back of the Wayne's late-1990s white knit jersey which he wore during training camp, and more specifically during the team's annual Blue vs. White games. Size 56 and CCM flag tags remain in the neck and the fight strap has been cut. Game wear shows in black marks on the front tail and red paint transfer on the right sleeve. Wayne's "99" logo is embroidered on the collar of his blue undershirt with a Gator size L flag tag in the back of the neck. Comes with individual LOAs for both items.
