Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2013
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/5/2013
Dandy souvenir of the Toronto Maple Leafs' Stanley Cup victory in the spring of 1963, this silvery serving tray features the images of hockey's ultimate prize and the Prince of Wales Trophy, along with facsimile autographs of the men who brought the Leafs their second of three consecutive Cup titles. Toronto claimed the regular season crown with 82 points, one ahead of Chicago. The Leafs added the Cup to their hardware haul by dispatching Montreal and Detroit in the playoffs, both in five games. Dave Keon set a record with two shorthanded goals in the Leafs' 3-1 Cup clincher over the Red Wings at Maple Leaf Gardens. Handled tray measures just over 10" by 17" and remains in very good condition with light surface scratches and a multitude of spots missing to the silver colored finish to mention.
