Defensive forward Doug Jarvis, a key cog in the late-'70s Habs machine, wore this white
game-worn jersey during the 1978-79 playoffs when they would capture their 4th straight Stanley Cup. This particular set of home jerseys, with the creamy colored nameplate, was worn by the Habs in the 1978-79 playoffs and early on in the following season. Tagged in the collar as a "Maska Superfil" along with washing instructions and a Size "L", this white beauty features approximately 25 team repairs, with at least 13 on the front, 4 on the back, 4 on the right sleeve, and 3 on the left sleeve. Numerous marks, unrepaired holes, and some board transfer add to this unreal amount of game-wear. A fantastic, well-used gamer from the man who never called in sick during his 964 NHL games. This gamer comes with a garter-style fight strap and has small blue Maska logos embroidered on both the front and rear tails and also includes team-customized shortened sleeves, triple tackle twill team crest and numbers on back and sleeves, while the blue twill surname letters have been individually sewn on to the nameplate. Some red color bleeding on the right sleeve and puckering on the team's crest is to note as well.
