Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2013

A fabulous memento from one of the modern era's greatest goalies is Patrick Roy's gold and diamond creation commemorating Colorado's first Stanley Cup win in 1996. Acquired from Montreal in a blockbuster trade in December, Saint Patrick won 16 playoff games as he led the Avs to series wins over Vancouver, Chicago, Detroit and Florida while posting three shutouts, including the Game 4 triple-OT Cup clincher in Miami. Gorgeous 18-karat pendant weighs about 16 grams. It features an Avalanche logo with real diamonds set in the swoosh and clear stones in the A set in a red stone on the tableau. "Stanley Cup Champions 1996" wraps around the bezel with "Patrick Roy, #33, SC 96" engraved on the back, which has light surface scratches. Part of the proceeds of the sale of this item will go towards the "Fond D'etudes des Remparts de Quebec". Comes with Patrick Roy's signed LOA. Pendant measures about one inch tall and just under an inch wide. The gold was tested and confirmed to be 18-karat.
