Cool pair of original plaques presented to Hall of Fame goalie Patrick Roy early in his stellar career with the Montreal Canadiens. Included are St. Patrick's April 1987 Chrysler-Dodge NHL player of the week plaque and his 1990 Dodge NHL All-Star Fan Balloting plaque as the Wales Conference's starting goalie, along with a 1990 Wales All-Stars team picture. Patrick's name and "Montreal Canadiens" are engraved on both plaques, including the 12" x 15" plaque for the week ending April 5, 1987 with the facsimile autographs of Chrysler chairman Lee Iacocca and NHL president John Ziegler. The 1990 All-Star Team plaque measures 9" x 12". Part of the proceeds of the sale of this item will go towards the "Fond D'etudes des Remparts de Quebec". Both plaques exhibit handling with a few scratches on the gold-colored metal surface of the 1987 Player of the Week plaque. The 1990 Wales Conference NHL All-Star Team plaque displays Pittsburgh’s All-Star Game logo and is dated January 21, 1990. Its gold-colored metal plaque has shifted downwards along the right side and there are a few marks on the wood plaque. The 1990 Wales Conference All-Stars team picture featuring Roy along with Wales captain Mario Lemieux and fellow HOFers Coffey, Bourque, Sakic, Chelios, LaFontaine, Leetch, Neely and Francis and the late Pat Burns measures 11” x 13 3/4" with a few marks and separating partially from its cardboard backing.
