Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2013
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/5/2013
Big, big lot of vintage sports equipment from Dennis Polonich’s personal collection features a cool silver-plated cup. Standing 10” tall, the mouth of this two-handled beauty measures 9 1/2" in diameter with an 1847 Rogers Bros and IS stamp on the bottom along with an International Silver Company sticker. There are three pairs of two-tone leather boot hockey skates as well as two pairs of old-style wood-soled skate blade attachments and another pair of vintage metal skate attachments. Former NHLer Pat Elyniuk signed in black marker inside his red hockey pants which have a vintage blue ink notation “Pat Elynuik Notre Dame” to the left of the signature. A cool pair of old brown leather gloves with tan knuckle inserts and palms are a pretty cool sight, too, along with an old pair of Cooper Weeks DG2 black plastic and brown leather shinguards. The name “Greg Barber” is written on the brown leather Vaughn goalie pads and Vaughn goalie chest and arm protector that come with a Cooper trapper glove. A hockey equipment bag, an “Intercollegiate” Spalding J4-V football and vintage brown leather baseball glove and black leather baseball spikes complete this lot which comes with Dennis Polonich's signed LOA.
