Loads and loads of Gordie Howe signed items, including a stick, framed photos, books and pucks, as well as multi-signed items with the autographs of the late Sid Abel and fellow HOFers Ted Lindsay, Steve Yzerman and Brendan Shanahan and Gordie's sons, Mark, a HOFer in his own right, and Marty. We count 25 signatures from Mr. Hockey here, including a big framed 16 x 20 with a signature dedicated to Dennis Polonich, whose signed LOA accompanies this great big lot that includes about 10 unsigned pieces, including framed photos of Gordie with golf legends Nicklaus and Palmer. Gordie signed: “To Polo, Best always + goals, Gordon Howe”, in bold black marker on a 20x16 photo of Mr. Hockey posed in his Red Wings captain’s uniform displayed under glass in a big 21 1/2" x 17 1/2" wood frame.
Gordie and fellow Production Line HOFers Ted Lindsay and the late Sid Abel signed in silver paint pen on a Red Wings InGlasCo NHL official game puck with the Bettman round orange reverse;
Gordie signed his name in silver paint pen across the top of the 9 on the cover of his book, adding: “Nine: A Salute to Mr. Hockey, Gordie Howe”, along with Mr. Hockey in the middle and HOF 1972 at the bottom;
Gordie signed: “Hello Polo, Best always, Gordie Howe 9 Mr Hockey” in blue marker on an 8x10 shot of himself wearing a Red Wings jersey with the team’s 75 Years patch on the right breast displayed in a 14 3/4" x 12 3/4" white and red matte with a foamboard backing;
Gordie signed: “To Polo, Best of luck, Gordie Howe Mr Hockey 9” in blue marker on an 8x10 shot of himself displayed in a 14 3/4" x 12 3/4" white and red matte with a foamboard backing;
Gordie and his late wife Colleen both signed two dedicated copies of their Mr. & Mrs. Hockey book, one dedicated to “Dennis, in friendship”, the other dedicated to: “ Jaden-Lauren, sending best wishes, best regards”. Each book comes with bookmarks individually signed by Gordie and Colleen;
Gordie signed his name in silver paint pen along with #9 and Mr. Hockey on a Red Wings puck;
A Lucite desktop display features a Whalers puck and a Pro Set Gordie Howe Hall of Famer card, both signed in black marker by Gordie;
A Lucite desktop display features an SP Notable Gordie Howe card signed in black marker by Gordie displayed along with a Red Wings puck;
Howe, Ted Lindsay and fellow HOFers Yzerman and Shanahan signed, along with Nick Lidstrom, who will surely join the four others in the Hockey Hall of Fame, on a multi-signed ticket from the Red Wings 2000-01 home opener against Edmonton in the centre of a framed display featuring four Red Wings pin displayed recessed within the black matte and an old style fabric Winged Wheel logo, displayed recessed on a silver-coloured background, at the bottom of the 15” x 14” black metal frame;
Gordie signed with the notation Mr. Hockey 9 in bold black marker on a “Mr. Hockey: Gordie Howe” Bradford Exchange plate that measures 8 1/4" in diameter;
Gordie signed in bold blue marker on a framed 8x10 shot of himself with Polonich, who is holding a copy of Howe’s Mr. & Mrs. Hockey book, mounted in a two two green matte and displayed in a 15 1/2" x 12 1/2" wood frame;
Howe placed a big blue marker autograph with his iconic number 9 across the blade of a Koho Profibre 2211 retail stick with “Howe” stamped low on the shaft;
Howe placed a bold blue marker dedicated autograph of a shot of himself posed in a WHL Vancouver Giants sweater with Cody Franson that reads: “To Cody, All the best, #9 Mr Hockey, Gordie Howe”;
Gordie and sons Marty and fellow HOFer Mark placed blue marker autographs on a 8x10 shot of themselves posed in their WHA Houston Aeros uniforms with the blue marker, “To Lauren , Best Regards” dedication in the top right corner;
Gordie, Marty and Mark all signed in black marker on an 8x10 shot of themselves lined up in the Hartford Whalers uniforms for a faceoff against the Red Wings in Detroit;
Gordie signed on each of five 8x10 shots of himself in various poses
