Awesome 1975-76 Detroit Red Wings gamer is Dennis Polonich's hammered and photo-matched rookie jersey when he recorded a team record 302 penalty minutes in 57 games! The big yellow thread at the bottom of the Red Wings 50th anniversary patch sewn on the left shoulder offers a match to an action photo of the 5-foot-6 Polo, which also clearly shows the loose white thread at the bottom of the #8 on the left sleeve. Mounted recessed in the left side of a massive framed display, this magnificent Red Wings jersey with spectacular game wear displayed all over the right sleeve and shoulder has Rawlings size 46 tagging in the back of the neck along with a special "3" Shorter Body" tag sewn to the right of it. An original Olympia ticket from the game Polo scored his first two NHL goals is among the items displayed on the right side of the frame. Special shipping arrangement may be required or items can be removed from the frame for shipping. Comes with Dennis Polonich's signed LOA. Great game wear on the rookie season jersey shows in huge board burns with blue paint transfer on the right shoulder and sleeve, team repairs at the right elbow and red paint transfer and various other marks and burns throughout, including the sewn-on white twill number 8. There is a light brown stain on the middle of the white band on the front tail with more marks and board burns with blue paint transfer on the right front tail, and more marks on the left sleeve. The jersey is displayed recessed on a red matte background within the frame’s white matte. The right side of the frame also displays copies of Polo’s original first NHL contract along with a 1972-75 AHL Virginia Wings puck, a vintage Red Wings pen and vintage hockey cards. The Olympia ticket is from the Wings’ 6-3 win over Kansas City on November 13, 1975, when Dennis scored his first two NHL goals. The 42” x 61 3/4" black wood frame has clear tape remnants and residue on the sides and back.
