Bruising Flyers defenceman Ed Van Impe's photo-matched 1970-71 game-worn captain's jersey displays the small black and white double twill C sewn on the left breast that shows on his hockey card from the following season. The black thread on the bottom of the front collar is matched to a photo of Van Impe on guard in front of HOF goalie Bernie Parent in a game at the Spectrum during the 1970-71 season. A size 50 flag tag hangs down from the bottom of the Pearson Sporting Goods tagging in the back of the neck. General Athletic washing instructions tagging is sewn inside the left rear tail. A few small spots of blue and red paint transfer show on the right front tail with more red paint transfer on the white band at the bottom of the rear tail. There is a dark brown stain on the right rear tail with various lighter brown stains on other areas of this historic Flyers captain's gamer which also has blue paint transfer at the bottom of the white portion on the upper left sleeve, black marks on the right elbow and a couple of runs in the durene fabric on the orange portion of the left sleeve. Comes with Ed Van Impe's signed LOA.
