The late Michel "Bunny" Larocque made his Canadiens debut in 1973-74 and this is the mask that he wore for each of his first two NHL campaigns. A fiberglass treasure that dates back to Bunny's junior days with the Ottawa 67s, this photo-matched piece of Habs history has the number 31 that Larocque wore during his rookie season scratched out on the right side of the inside of the mask and the number 1 that he began wearing in 1974-75 handwritten on the left side. Larocque, who died in 1992, wore this mask while starting all six playoff games of Montreal's first-round loss to the Rangers in 1974. Although he had to play second fiddle for most of his time with the Habs, Larocque was solid when called upon, compiling an impressive 144-46-31 record with Montreal while winning four Stanley Cups and sharing three Vezina Trophies with HOFer Ken Dryden and another with Denis Heron and Richard Sevigny. The letters "CSP" are etched and painted in black onto the forehead of this amazing mask, which comes with its original straps and is photo-matched by the crack on the forehead and the missing piece on the right top edge. Three 8x10 shots of Bunny wearing this mask in action during his first two seasons are included. This battle-scarred beauty, which displays outstanding game wear all over its vintage white paint job, comes with a Classic Auction LOA.
