Historical Hockey Memorabilia Winter 2012
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/22/2012
A definite prerequisite to any important hockey library, author Charles Coleman's work on the history of hockey and Lord Stanley's trophy from 1893 to 1967 is encompassed here in three leather-bound books. Only 1000 copies of this special edition were presented to important hockey figures in 1968. This set, numbered 386, was presented to Detroit's Jimmy Skinner who has signed his name inside volumes 2 and 3. These highly sought after books are in their original black casings and although the books are in fine, tough-to-hope-for-nicer condition, the slipcases on two of the volumes show wear and some damage at the edges with a tear along the bottom of one. Comes with a letter of authenticity from JSA.
