Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction November 2010
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/16/2010
Advanced collectors always on the lookout for elusive cards will be intrigued with this find of five little cards cut from the cereal boxes of General Mills products, namely Wheaties, Cheerios and Country Corn Flakes. The standing poses were on the fronts of the boxes and directed consumers to the back where bigger photos featured the star players giving hockey tips. Once in a while one of these little treasures surface, but the complete set all at once - time to use the "rare" word! All have been encapsulated and deemed authentic by PSA, with not a visible crease in any of them. And what a lineup! A young Bobby Orr in that killer old Bruins uniform leads the way, with Hall-of-Famers Gordie Howe, Jean Beliveau, Stan Mikita and Harry Howell completing things. This is one serious opportunity!
