Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction November 2010
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/16/2010
One of the NHL's "bad boys" of his era and a perennial (eight straight seasons!) league-leader in penalty minutes, Hall of Fame defenseman Red Horner was a fan-favorite at Maple Leaf Gardens and is described on the card back here as a "fast breaker and powerful rusher." Nice "white" example of card #122 in the O-Pee-Chee company's 1936-37 issue has been slabbed EX 5 by PSA, with a little nick along the lower right edge looking to be what denied it from reaching higher status. It'll be a superb addition to your graded pre-war collection.
