The Montreal Canadiens had a special surprise in store for their fans to cap their centennial celebration. Hall of Fame defenceman Emile “Butch” Bouchard had his #3 retired by the team along with Elmer Lach, who also had his #16 hoisted to the Bell Centre’s rafters on December 4, 2010. Butch has signed across the bottom of his #3 Canadiens captain’s jersey in this photo of the Hall of Fame defenceman as he was wheeled out on the red carpet by his son, Pierre Bouchard. This magnificent and truly unique 14” x 11” photo is also signed and hand-numbered 1 of 1 by renowned sports photographer Denis Brodeur. A silver-colored plaque which reads “#3 Emile Bouchard, Montreal Canadiens” is inset in the black and white matte displayed within this stylish 22” x 18” black frame.
