Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction November 2010
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/16/2010
Cool lot of memorabilia from Rogie Vachon's post-playing career with the Los Angeles Kings features his signed CCM gloves in the team's original purple-and-yellow color scheme and three coach's lineup sheets featuring Wayne Gretzky in the Kings' lineup for three games at the end of the lockout-shortened 1994-95 season. Rogie has added his retired #30 to his signature at the top of each of the three lineup sheets - dated April 30 and May 2 and 3, 1995 - with the likes of Gretzky, Kurri, Fuhr, Blake and McSorley among the handwritten names listed for games against Anaheim, Winnipeg and Chicago when Vachon assumed head coaching duties from Barry Melrose. Rogie, who had two brief coaching stints with the Kings in the 1980s, has signed both of his CCM gloves on the cuff, each of which has a Kings crown logo sewn on the front. He has also signed a purple size medium Kings jacket with "Vachon 30" embroidered on the right breast, as well as the back of a vintage #30 Kings jersey with "52" written in ballpoint on its CCM fly tag in the neck, and a size large white jacket from the 1988 All-Star Game with "Rogie" embroidered on the right breast. Comes with Rogatien Vachon's signed LOA.
