Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2010
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/22/2010
After coming to Montreal following the late 1995 blockbuster trade involving Patrick Roy, Jocelyn Thibault had big skates to fill and did so admirably, posting a 23-13-3 won-loss-tied record and a 2.83 goals against average. He stopped all but one of the Dallas Stars' shots in the last game at the Forum, helping the Habs to their fitting 4-1 win. His jersey from that night has the CCM Maska tag in the hem, the CCM goalie style tag in the neck, along with a size 58 fly tag. It shows light game use with two puck marks on the sewn-on tackle twill Canadiens crest and another puck mark underneath the crest. There's also some pilling on the left cuff to mention. Thibault's name and numbers are sewn-on and he autographed the jersey on the left breast. This attractive goalie's jersey will come with a Letter of Authenticity signed by Réjean Houle of the Montreal Canadiens.
