The Ottawa Senators' first stab at an alternate jersey proved so successful that it went on to become the team's official road jersey, and ultimately the jersey the Senators wore at the Corel Centre/Scotiabank Place when the NHL switched to colors at home in 2003-04. This original Senators alternate jersey from the 1997-98 season was worn by Per Gustafsson, a Swedish defenceman who played nine regular season games and one more in the playoffs before returning to Sweden for good. This lively gamer has its original fight strap, laundry tag in the left seam, and CCM and size 58 fly tags in the neck. The jersey exhibits some nice wear with red paint transfer above the right elbow and stick marks on the left shoulder and sleeve.
