Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2010
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/22/2010
Classic-style Northland helmet worn by Quebec Nordiques star Marc Tardif most likely during the early-1980s in National Hockey League play. Tardif, who spent five seasons with the club back in the WHA years, would play for another four seasons after the merger with the NHL in 1979-80. The well-worn lid has all of the padding intact and shows at least a full-season's worth of game wear with loads of marks and scratches. Applied decals at the sides read "Nordiques" with a "Quebec" decal at the forehead and Tardif's number "8" in the form of a white sticker at the back. The side ear padding has been painted blue and a blue chin strap completes the look.
