Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2010

The last player to score a goal at the Montreal Forum when he played for the Canadiens, Andrei Kovalenko wore this Bruins alternate jersey during the 2000-01 season. Nicknamed "The Tank" because of his solid disposition in front of the opponent's goal, Kovalenko ensured that his jerseys took a beating as evidenced by this yellow beauty, which has stick marks galore. There are great team repairs on both elbows, which are also surrounded by unrepaired holes, nicks and board burns. A certificate of authenticity signed by Bruins equipment manager Peter Henderson is included. The screened "Official Boston Bruins Game-Worn Jersey 2000-2001 Season" on the inside of the jersey behind the Bruins crest is faded. The size 54 and Made in Canada neck tags remain, as does the fight strap.
