Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2010
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/22/2010
Splendid black Koho air-knit worn by Pittsburgh Penguins sniper and team captain Jaromir Jagr over in Japan at the start of the 2000-01 National Hockey League season. The match, part of Bettman's plan to bring the game to the rest of the world, was the team's season opening series against the Nashville Predators. The NHL GAMEONE JAPAN 2000 patch is sewn onto the right breast of this one and it obviously exhibits the light wear, expected of a single-use jersey. The uniform's fight strap and laundry tag remain, along with the size 56 fly tag and Made in Canada tag with "68 C" written in black marker. Jagr's 1599 NHL points are simply astounding!
