This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/22/2010
This collection of four sticks spans Team Canada's return to the world hockey championships in the late-1970s. The group includes a Carol Vadnais Koho stick factory stamped March 17, 1977 and a Bob McMillan Koho stick factory stamped April 5, 1978. The Wilfred Paiement Koho stick is from the 1979 tournament in Moscow and a John Garrett Northland goalie stick is from the 1981 world championships in Sweden. Vadnais' 1977 stick is signed by Phil and Tony Esposito along with the rest of the members of Canada's first world championships team in seven years. McMillan's 1978 stick is covered with signatures by the bronze medal winners from Prague, including Dionne, Pronovost and Unger. Paiement has signed his No. 9 stick along with Charron while Lafleur, Robinson, McDonald and Gartner are highlights from Garrett's 1981 stick from Sweden. This fantastic collection comes from longtime Team Canada dentist Dr. Ernie Lewis, who will also provide a signed LOA.
