Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2010
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/22/2010
Perfect pairing of seldom-seen mementos from the 1954 International Ice Hockey Federation's World Championships held in Stockholm, Sweden. Russia would capture the top spot in the tourney, followed by Canada with the silver and host Sweden with the bronze. The promotional poster, the first example we have seen, has expected folds and we spot four tears coming in from the edges. Still, it is very bold and vivid and will make for a perfect framed display. The poster measures 20" x 27" and features a stylistic on-ice action scene with the dates of the tournament along the bottom. The smaller 5.5" x 8.5" 48-page game program lists the rosters of all participating nations, in Swedish, and has been preserved in excellent condition.
