Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2010
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/22/2010
An amazing and seldom-seen piece of memorabilia is this NHL game program from a 1932-33 encounter in Ottawa between the Senators and visiting Detroit Red Wings. Full-body poses and bios of Ottawa players grace the pages of the publication, with each player having autographed their respective "section" in gorgeous bold black fountain pen ink! What a way to lead things off is the first autographed page (page 7), featuring the pics and sigs of Cy Denneny, Alex Connell and Frank Finnigan, with Hib Milks and Jerry Lowrey signing the edges. Hec Kilrea is alone on one page, while combining on others are Cooney Weiland/Harold Starr, Allen Shields/Bill Beveridge, Bill Touhey/Gus Forslund, Danny Cox/Alex Smith and Wally Kilrea/Bert McInenly. Featured on the second-to-last page are Leo Bourgault, Syd "Nemo" Howe, trainers Eddie Gleason and Sam Seguin and autographs of Ken Hart and Ralph Hughes. Truly team-signed with 22 total signatures. Program is 20 pages, has a detached front cover and glue stains on the back that you certainly won't be looking at!
