Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2010
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/22/2010
Parkhurst's final hockey card effort of the 1960s has remained popular and boasts one of the modern era's most attractive issues - card #55 featuring Gordie Howe. The example here has been graded NM+ 7.5 by KSA and is joined by a raw Terry Sawchuk that we see as EX-MT. Impossible to give an overall grade to the remainder of the group since varying degrees of moisture/water stains affect many of the cards on the lower right corner (front) and/or lower left side/corner on the back. Unfortunate since many are otherwise EX-MT or better. Majority are crease-free with notable exceptions being Faulkner RC (G) and #s 39, 46, 85, 87, 94, 95 (all P-F-G). Stanley (#1 - G-VG) and 99-Maniago (VG) have rubber band indentations while missing #s are 6, 12, 52 and 60.
