Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2010

Ever-popular pre-war cardboard offering includes some good-looking cards which however technically grade lower than their appearance. Sharp crease-free '33-34 "Ice King" cards of Howie Morenz, Joliat and Nels Stewart were neatly unglued, with all text saved. Other similar (with an odd crease here and there) are #s 2, 5, 8-Siebert, 14, 18, 23, 24, 26, 27, 28, 31, 34, 37, 41, 43, 44, 46, 48. Scrapbook evidence will of course drop them, while other big names like Clapper and Bill Cook have paper loss, as do #s 9, 17, 19, 20, 21, 25, 29, 32, 39. Thirteen OPC Series "B" cards meanwhile include Joliat and Aurie, plus #s 52, 53, 55, 57, 58, 60-63, 69 and 71 but appear either "short" or "narrow", suggesting trimming. Light creases are also to note. Still, some decent value up for grabs.
