Strikingly large gold ring is of the white gold variety and commemorates the Colorado Avalanche's second Stanley Cup championship, captured in the spring of 2001. This is an authentic 10-karat gold ring that was presented to a member of the Avalanche's front office. It recalls the performances of Roy, Sakic, Forsberg, Bourque, Hejduk, Tanguay, Blake, Drury and the supporting cast and their playoff series wins over Vancouver (4-0), Los Angeles (4-3), St. Louis (4-1) and New Jersey, the Devils pushing the finals to seven games before the Avalanche clinched the Cup with a 3-1 win. Fifteen years after first being named playoff MVP, Patrick Roy won a record third Conn Smythe Trophy and was happy, like the rest of the hockey world, when Ray Bourque got to finally hoist hockey's ultimate trophy over his head. Featuring a whopping 58.5 grams of white gold, the stunning keepsake features the Avs logo set against a reddish stone and encircled by "Stanley Cup Champions 2001." One shank includes the team's name and the results of their four series wins, with "Mission 16W" and the NHL logo below, while the other includes the recipient's name "Atkinson" above an image of the Cup and the words "It's All About Commitment". Produced by Diamond Cutters, the size 11 1/2 ring is in near mint condition and held in its original crafted wood presentation box featuring the Avalanche logo. Exquisite memento will excite Avalanche and championship ring collectors to mountainous heights!
