The records continued to pile up for The Great One during his time with the Kings in Los Angeles. This noteworthy milestone is special given the significance of the number 99! The puck was scooped off the ice during the 1990-91 season after a goal by Bob Kudelski. The official assists were awarded to Brad Jones and Wayne Gretzky. This Los Angeles Kings Inglasco game puck is lightly marked on the reverse with "#99, 1999 PT, G-37, A-99, 47". The same notations are repeated along a strip of white cloth tape that wraps the edge of the gamer. This nifty assist puck (which for a short period of time was the all-time points record puck!) was gifted by Wayne to Kings bench man Bill Blair and the story is detailed in a lengthy three-page letter from Blair's wife to a collector. A handful of snapshots of Blair with Gretzky, Dave Taylor and others will accompany the lot. A piece of hockey history!
