Ray Bourque certainly set the bar for defencemen for decades to come. His astonishing statistics and career accomplishments earned him a place in hockey's Hall of Fame in 2004. Bourque wore this jersey during the Boston Bruins' 1988-89 season, according to our incredible photo evidence. The white CCM air-knit sports a Maska tag in the collar with size "52" in feint ballpoint ink. Bourque's captain's "C" rests up on the left breast and the smaller CCM logo is embroidered onto the tail. The screened Custom Crafted logo can also be found down on the rear outer hem. Game wear is very easy to spot with a tremendous series of black stick marks on the lower front, dozens more marks on the arms and numerous red and blue scrapes of board paint transfer on the sleeves and lower rear. A large red board paint transfer swipe on the back hem along with several black stick marks on the arms and back of the jersey form a fantastic conclusive multi-point match to an action shot photo of Bourque from the 1988-89 season. A digital copy of this image which also shows HOF'er Cam Neely and Terry O'Reilly in the shot will accompany the jersey. This jersey is a must have for the serious Bruins or Bourque collector.
