Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2010
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/22/2010
Terrific Bobby Orr Victoriaville gamer was used during the '73-74 season, a year in which Orr and Phil Esposito led the Bruins to a 52-win regular season title, with Bobby's 32 goals and 90 assists second only to Esposito's 145 points. The stick is stamped "Bobby Orr" on the front of the shaft below his typical ribbed knob of rolled black tape covered in the aged white cloth wrap. Two wraps of white tape appears on the blade, closer to the heel. All four sides of the shaft were planed, giving a rounded feel, especially under Orr's long taped handle. Formidable piece of lumber shows nice game use with a crack along the bottom edge of the blade which is still solid.
