Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2010
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/22/2010
Offered here is Christian Bordeleau's personal 1971-72 Clarence Campbell Bowl trophy as a member of the West Division champion Chicago Black Hawks. Acquired in a trade with St. Louis in February of that season, Bordeleau contributed 14 points in 23 games with the Black Hawks, who easily defended their division title in what would prove to be Bobby Hull's final season in the Windy City. Even though their 107 points would have placed them fourth in the East, the Hawks' 46-17-15 mark placed them atop the West for the second time in three years, 21 points ahead of second place Minnesota. Each member of the Hawks received one of these 11-inch tall trophies. Bordeleau's award has "Chicago Black Hawks - 1971-72 - Christian Bordeleau" engraved on one side of the two-handled bowl with an attached lid. "Clarence S. Campbell Bowl - 1968" is engraved on the opposite side. The silver-plated award is mounted on a wooden base and remains in excellent conditiois in superb condition overall, with light wear and a touch of tarnish. This handsome NHL trophy comes with Christian Bordeleau's signed letter of authenticity.
