Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2010

Signed Vincent Lecavalier game-used stick dates from his 1998-99 rookie season in the NHL as evidenced by the #8 he added to his signature across the front of the taped blade. Lecavalier only wore the #8, which is also on the front of his white tape job on the butt end, during his rookie campaign with the Tampa Bay Lightning when the 18-year-old Montreal native debuted with 13 goals and 15 assists. The scored composite shaft of Vinnie’s two-piece Koho gamer retains Lecavalier’s original white tape job on the butt end. Battle-scarred tape job on the blade features blackened white tape with shredding along the bottom edge and a small gouge in the end of Lecavalier’s autograph, which remains a fine display piece.
