Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2010
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/22/2010
It's a wonder to contemplate how many pucks hockey legend Guy Lafleur fired into the net before this magnificent Sher-Wood gamer gave up the ghost. Guy! Guy! Guy! ultimately pushed this beauty past the breaking point, as evidenced by the crack through the lower half of the shaft, which has been carefully repaired by glue to allow this well-used Lafleur gamer to live on in a worthy stick shrine. "Lafleur" is stamped just below the Flower's white tape job with a knob on the butt end and his famed number "10" is stamped further down the front of the shaft. Black bulldog tape job remains on the blade with the bottom worn through, revealing very minor cracks along the edge of the blade. Great game wear is evident on this less-than-perfect Lafleur gamer which has been lovingly restored.
