Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2010
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/22/2010
Winner of a record 11 Stanley Cups, Henri Richard used this CCM Custom Pro hockey stick with the Montreal Canadiens during the early-1960s. A member of the Habs' record run of five straight Cups from 1956-60, Richard went on to win four more championships in five seasons in the late-1960s and two more in the 1970s, including his last as the Canadiens' captain in 1973. The Pocket Rocket's original tape job remains intact featuring Henri's distinctive black tape knob on the butt end with "Richard 16" stamped on the front of the shaft along with "McNiece's Montreal, Can" farther down. A light crack is to note on the bottom of the shaft where the blade is attached and the black tape on the blade has puckered, though is otherwise fully intact. A great display piece from the NHL's all-time greatest Stanley Cup champion.
