Bobby Clarke 's goal puck from the 1973-74 season dates from the emergence of the Broad Street Bullies as the NHL's most-feared Stanley Cup championship team. The Philadelphia Flyers captain scored one of his 35 regular season goals with this puck from the second and final year of the league's official goal puck program. The Hall of Fame centre put the puck past St. Louis' Wayne Stephenson in a 4-2 win over the Blues at the Spectrum on March 14, 1974, the date noted on the official label placed on one side of this Flyers game puck. The No. "PF-2-228" typed on the label signifies that the puck was the Flyers' 228th goal of the season from the second year of the goal puck program. This beauty remains in really nice condition with a rubberized color Flyers logo on its face, though it is not accompanied by its original NHL certificate.
