Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2010

This 1930s Spalding official NHL game puck represents a rare opportunity for you to put your hands on the holy grail of any serious puck collection. Used by the league from 1931 until 1942, this original Spalding gamer features logos on both sides with "Official National League" printed around the outer edge of the round crests. The Spalding crest on one side remains whole and fully intact while the one on the other side has some surface wear and tape residue to note. A chevron-shaped gouge is the most significant mark on this Spalding beauty's smooth side which features the puck's distinctive sharp edges. In difficult-to- hope-for-nicer condition, this vintage Spalding - the NHL's first official puck - is ready to become the cornerstone of your vintage game puck display.
