Evident game use is clear to see on this 1981-82 Colorado Rockies jersey worn by Finnish centre Veli-Pekka Ketola during the team's final season in Denver. After flying high with 12 points in 13 WHA playoff games with the 1975-76 Avco Cup champion Winnipeg Jets, Ketola experienced the flip side of North American hockey when he crossed the Atlantic once again in 1981 to play for the Rockies after spending the previous four seasons in Finland. Ketola contributed 9 goals and 14 points in 44 games with the Rockies, who relocated to New Jersey after finishing dead last in the 21-team NHL with an 18-49-13 mark and 49 points. After taking No. 12 when he was not allowed to wear his customary No. 13 with the Jets, Ketola flipped his favorite digits around to wear No. 31 with Colorado. White knit Rockies gamer features Sandow Sporting Knit and washed-out laundry instruction fly tags in the neck and cracked heat-screened blue vinyl Sandow SK logo on the right rear hem. Long slash mark through the upper part of the colorful multi-twill Rockies crest on the front is one of several black marks on the front of the jersey, which also displays red paint transfer on the left shoulder and right cuff as well as a team repair on the left cuff. Team repairs on the bottom front of the jersey and the left rear tail are also noted. Comes with an LOA.
