The original signatures of Conn Smythe and Frank Selke appear on their respective Maple Leaf Gardens Limited expense sheets from 1946. Original Hap Day and Foster Hewitt signatures are also featured in this extraordinary lot of documents from the original MLG financial records that include over 100 signed pieces from members of the Toronto dynasty that became the first NHL team to win three consecutive Stanley Cups in the late-1940s. Selke signed an expense report for his trip to Boston for the 1946 Cup final between the Bruins and the Canadiens. Smythe signed for his expenses for the Leafs' October 1946 training camp and he initialed seven more reports, while Day signed a receipt and Hewitt signed for his expenses on MLG letterhead. Multiple signatures include Meeker (5), Watson, Boesch & Lynn (4), Stewart, Mortson, Thomson & Goldham (3), Broda, Kennedy, Bodnar, Ezinicki, Poile, Klukay, Nick Metz & Sloan (2), as well as individual signatures of Apps, Stanowski and Taylor. Smythe's initials appear on two more documents and a report with a breakdown of the 1947 players' playoff pool is also featured. Lorne Carr is among eight Maple Leafs scouts who signed amid the dozens of other signatures included here such as those of Pete Langelle, Harry Taylor and Bob Davidson, to name just a few.
