Conn Smythe's original handwriting appears on an 8" x 5" sheet and he placed his initials on an expense account report for Reginald Stewart's Sept. 8, 1935 trip to New York. Price Waterhouse's "examined 1935" stamp appears on both documents, two highlights from this lot of original Maple Leaf Gardens, Ltd. documents housed in a journal voucher binder dated from January 7 to December 31, 1935. W.A. Hewitt initialed two documents and Dick Irvin signed another two, including one Royal York hotel bill he noted "OK, Dick". Frank Selke signed six documents and initialed eight more. The original signatures of Bob Davidson, Flash Hollett and H.F. Bolton also appear on individual documents in this lot that includes an April 9, 1935 ticket order sheet from the last game of the Leafs-Maroons Stanley Cup final, Busher Jackson's Sun Life insurance document and a list of prepaid salaries and playoff pool. "The British Treasury Cabinet Binding Case No 12" binder has "No. 4, Maple Leaf Gardens Ltd" and "Journal Vouchers #730-940" written on its Grand & Toy label and is housed in its original 9 1/4" x 12 1/2" x 3 1/2" sleeve.
