A touchy subject among players of the NHL Original Six era is that of the league's player pension plan. Offered is a related collection of documents from Ted Kennedy's files: 1) Six-page accounting of salary, tax and pension calculation figures for the 1943 tax year. 2) 1943 T-1 Income Tax form, complete with three pages of supporting documents and the original Maple Leaf Gardens envelope. 3) Letter to Kennedy on NHL Pension Society letterhead dated 1959 and signed at the bottom by deceased HOF'er and league President Clarence Campbell. 4) Two blank application for Supplementary Pension Benefits. 5) 1957 NHL Pension Certificate of Participation for Ted Kennedy, signed at the bottom by President Clarence Campbell. 6) Two unused return envelopes addressed to the National Hockey League offices in Montreal. 7) 1963 NHL Pension Society Financial Statement. 8) 1943 letter from National Casualty in reference to Kennedy's NHL pension plan. 9) Green vinyl folder with printed "National Hockey League Pension Society Certificates" and Annuity Contracts housing all of the above-mentioned documents. Obtained from the family of former Leafs' captain Ted Kennedy, complete with their signed letter of provenance.
