Truly special Phoenix Coyotes jersey was worn by Kelly Buchberger for the 2002-03 season opener in Los Angeles. Coyotes GM Michael Barnett has signed a letter of authenticity on team letterhead explaining the significance of the "99" patch sewn onto the right breast of this single-use jersey that was worn by both the Coyotes and the Los Angeles Kings, who retired Wayne Gretzky's number prior to their home opener against Phoenix on October 9, 2002. A "Made in Canada" size 56 fly tag is sewn over at the top by thread from nameplate stitching and the fight strap and laundry tag remain intact. This one time jersey exhibits very light wear, with a couple of faint stick marks on the front tail. Comes with an original Kings game program from the Gretzky retirement ceremony at the Staples Center, as well as NHL/Meigray Group registry documentation.
