Hall-of-Famer Joe Mullen has signed his #7 Calgary Flames game worn jersey from the 1985-86 season. The first American player to record 500 goals, Mullen led all playoff scorers with 12 goals in the 1986 playoffs as the Flames reached the Stanley Cup finals for the first time, falling in five games to Patrick Roy and the Montreal Canadiens. Mullen and the Flames got their measure of revenge three years later when they won their first and only Cup to date in a rematch against the Habs. Joe has added ?"Stanley Cup" to his black sharpie signature on the upper part of the red-and-yellow twill #7 sewn on the back. The "1989" that Mullen - who won three Stanley Cups in all, including consecutive titles with Pittsburgh in 1991 and 1992 - also added to his signature to the right of "Stanley Cup", as per an LOA that accompanies the jersey, has been washed off and is virtually illegible. Size "46" is written in ink on the Ultrafil fly tag that is sewn in the neck along with an "85 07"born tag. The front of this well-worn Mullen gamer is plastered with stick and puck marks. Great use throughout includes stick marks, paint transfer and board burns on both sleeves. Entered in the MeiGray Group registry, this remarkable Flames gamer comes with their LOA and certificate of registration, as well as two other LOAs.
